Ilbieraħ inġabru aktar minn €5,800,000 fl-Istrina, il-maratona ġbir ta’ fondi b’risq il-Community Chest Fund.
Din kienet is-26 edizzjoni ta’ L-Istrina.
Il-President George Vella rringrazzja lil kull min ta d-donazzjoni tiegħu u lil kull min kien involut biex minkejja l-isfidi li għal darb’oħra ġabet il-pandemija, din il-maratona setgħet tittella’ u tkun suċċess. Huwa faħħar ukoll lil Peppi Azzopardi tad-dedikazzjoni tiegħu u s-sehem tiegħu fejn jidħlu n-nies fil-bżonn.
Il-linji tad-donazzjonijiet se jibqgħu miftuħin, għaldaqstant wieħed jista’ jkompli jagħti d-donazzjoni tiegħu.
Ftit tal-ħin ilu, il-kantanta Debbie nidiet kanzunetta ġdida b’kitba u kompożizzjoni ta’ Jason Xuereb, bl-isem ta’ Jien mill-Ġdid akkumpanjata minn vidjow mużikali.
Jien mill-Ġdid hija kanzunetta awtobijografika, fuq stil kemxejn semi-klassiku u ispirata minn elementi Mediterranji. Hija titratta fuq l-importanza li wieħed isib lilu nnifsu fil-vjaġġ tal-ħajja mimlija b’kull tip ta’ esperjenzi tajbin u dawk ta’ diżappunt.
Il-kanzunetta tibgħat messaġġ pożittiv u ta’ tama, li minn dawn l-esperjenzi nistgħu nikbru filwaqt li noħorġu elementi aktar b’saħħithom fina bħala individwi.
